The long-term survival of the orang-utan species is intrinsically linked to the health and the forests in the Heart of Borneo. Over the decades, commercial land use for logging or growing crops has been the biggest contributor to deforestation in the Heart of Borneo and has led to the decline in orang-utan numbers.

With Foord's support, WWF is able to fullfil its commitment to reforest 2,400ha that will join together a combined area of 12,000ha of forest in the Bukit Piton landscape giving orang-utans renewed hope and the habitat they need to thrive.
